My Tribute

Relationship: A friend. A sister to you and Huldah since my early age of 10 years+ old.
Your dearest and loved sister late Huldah was my close friend and sister. We all attended the Freetown Secondary School for Girls and were in the Boarding Dept. of the school. You were senior to us.

You nurtured us with all the best in character such as, devotion, good manners, humble, responsible and all that entails being prepared for growing up to be an adult. You were very strict in action and words. You were a woman of principle who was forceful and well focussed. Just looking at me and Huldah sent a message to us especially, when we sometimes wanted to cross the border. When we were naughty and mischievous your actions spoke more than your voice. You would pull our ears, wringing them to encourage us to be better behaved. This was a way of discipline in those days. Thank you so much for your efforts and courage in this exercise.
We had so much respect for you and your colleagues even more than we did for our teachers. You imparted good qualities in us!  

Your telephone calls to me now and then were always comforting. Sometimes I still felt like the little girl you once knew and cared for. Thank you so much Josephine. I’ll never forget you.

Your 90th birthday was celebrated in grand style in 2019. The event was impressive, classy and a very successful occasion. Those who attended the party had a nice time.

What went wrong with you to be snatched from us? The Lord wanted you to be with Him. You life was dedicated and refined in your profession in military service where you excelled as Major in the services you rendered. All this happened because of your good character. Bless you!

God be with you till we meet again. We miss you, we mourn you. Your place is vacant. Rest, rest, rest in Perfect peace.
